EYFS MATHS This is a pack of 12 sheets, ideal for math assessment in early years. Each sheets has 5 questions for the child to circle the correct answer. The sheets can be used once, or laminated and used over and over with a dry wipe pen. The sheets can also be sliced into individual sheets. Encourage child initiated learning with these butterflies. Once cut and laminated they can be used time and again. There are green bodies from 1-19, and 38, various coloured wings from 0-20. They’re ideal for going on the placing and arranging table or in your maths area. Children identify the number on the body and then look for the numbered wings that are one more or one less. There is also a fully formed, blank butterfly, for the children to write on with a dry wipe pen, creating their own number problems.

Number bonds from 0-10 with a treasure theme. In this pack there are 11 treasure chests, from 0-10. Each treasure chests needs 6 coins. Each coin has a maths problem on which needs matching up to the correct number chest. There are 11 chests and 66 golden coins. Once cut and laminated, can be placed in the maths area for child initiated learning.

Each worksheet features a different 2D shape, such as squares, circles, triangles, and rectangles. Children are challenged to transform the given shape into something else by drawing and altering its appearance. This activity encourages creativity, imagination, and fine motor skills as children manipulate shapes to create new and imaginative objects. To support learners at different levels, the set includes two versions of each worksheet. In the first eight worksheets, the name of the shape is provided for reference, allowing children to focus on the transformation task. In the remaining eight worksheets, children must identify and write the name of the shape themselves, reinforcing shape recognition and literacy skills. These worksheets are perfect for use in early years classrooms, homeschooling environments, or as engaging activities for at-home learning. They promote critical thinking, spatial awareness, and artistic expression while making learning about shapes fun and exciting for young learners.

Activity 1: Shape Identification and Coloring 5 coloring pages with various pictures containing 2D shapes 5 shapes at the bottom of each page for identification (circle, square, triangle, rectangle, etc) Instructions: Provide the child with the coloring pages and a set of colouring pencils. Ask the child to carefully examine each picture on the coloring pages. For each picture, instruct the child to identify the corresponding shape from the set of 5 shapes at the bottom of the page. Once identified, the child should colour the shape in the matching colour indicated on the page. Repeat the process for all coloring pages. Activity 2: Shape Matching with Pegs 1 large activity sign 6 peg pictures with different 2D shapes Instructions: Scatter the 6 peg pictures around the tray. Provide the child with pegs. Instruct the child to examine the shape in the center and identify which one of the 4 pictures matches it. Once the correct picture is identified, the child should place a peg on the corresponding picture. Encourage the child to repeat the process with other shapes on the tray. These activities aim to enhance shape recognition skills and fine motor coordination in a fun and interactive way.

Butterfly Addition Game with Worksheets. This engaging game features six greenhouses, each numbered from 0 to 5, and a collection of 30 colorful butterflies. The butterflies come in various hues and designs, with some displaying addition sums to 5 and others adorned with spots representing numbers up to 5. Players are tasked with placing the butterflies in the greenhouses according to their characteristics. They can match butterflies with addition sums to the corresponding greenhouse number to complete the equation, or they can match butterflies with the correct number of spots to the numbered greenhouses. This hands-on activity not only reinforces addition skills and number recognition but also cultivates strategic thinking and fine motor coordination. There are also three accompanying worksheets for extended learning and reinforcement! In addition to the game, the set includes three worksheets that provide opportunities for independent practice and skill development. The worksheets invite children to count butterflies up to 5, count spots on butterflies up to 5, and work out addition sums on butterflies up to 5. Square Identification: Worksheet with various shapes, including squares, circles, triangles, and rectangles. Children colour the squares to identify and differentiate them from other shapes. Then write down how many they find. Square Tracing: Worksheet with dotted square outlines. Children can practice tracing the squares to enhance their fine motor skills and familiarity with the shape. Counting Squares: 2 worksheets, 1 with multiple squares in a column and one with squares and other 2D shapes. Children can colour and count the number of squares in each column and write down the total count. Square Patterns: A worksheet with a series of square patterns (e.g., square-circle-square-circle). Children can continue the patterns by drawing the next shapes in the sequence. Square Sorting: A worksheet with a mix of square and non-square objects. Children can cut out the pictures and sort them into two categories: squares and non-squares. Square Scavenger Hunt: A worksheet where children search for square-shaped objects commonly found in the classroom or at home. Children can then draw or write down what objects they have found. Shape Matching: A worksheet where children cut out the 4 shapes and then match them up correctly to the shape within each square. Square Maze: A worksheet where children follow and colour in the path of squares to help bear find his big square. Eye-Spy Squares: A worksheet with a mix of square and non-square objects.
